DRAWING IN SILVERPOINT

Open to all levels, this workshop will teach you the basics to drawing like the great masters. You will go through the step by step process of preparing your surface using a variety of grounds; from rabbit skin glue to gesso and PVA primer. You will then use both silver and copper wire to draw both a still life and a live figure model.

ALL WORKSHOP MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES PROVIDED

There will be a 1 hour break for lunch (lunch not provided)

Fotios Zemenides holds an MFA in Drawing and Painting from the American Academy of Art. He has studied under David Jamieson and Melinda Whitmore of the Vitruvian Fine Art Studio, Julie Sulzen of Sulzen Fine Art Studio and Joe Kegler from the Chicago Fine Art Foundry. He is an internationally exhibited, award winning artist and works primarily as an intaglio printmaker with the North Shore Art League. He resides in Chicago and is co-founder and partner of Paupers Art Guild.
